Essie Under Where? with flower pattern nail foil By barenailsnomore

Essie Under Where? with flower pattern nail foil

Here is Essie Under Where? from Resort Collection 2013 as base, and a flower pattern nail foil from KKCenterHk over it :)

Under Where? is a pink toned medium purple creme, which I found rather thick and streaky :( And the mini brush made application harder as well. If you look at the plain swatch pic after the jump, you will see the unevenness and bubbling.

But thankfully, I had planned to try out the flower pattern nail foil I received fromKKCenterHk for a sweet floral look, and the foil helped to conceal the polish application issues ;) This is my first time applying nail foil and it was relatively easy, and I like this pattern a lot as it lets you show the base polish but spices things up with little effort. You can purchase this nail foil (NNAIL-E28) from this link and you can get 10% off purchases if you use the code "barenailsnomore" :)

Cut up the nail foil into manageable size.

Apply the glue (I used the one which came with the foil).

Wait till the glue turns transparent and press the foil firmly onto the nail to make sure it sticks and gets detached from the plastic. Also, I think it might be safer to apply a fast dry top coat before putting the foil, because this design had portions where there is no foil, hence instead of the foil coming off the plastic, the polish sometimes seemed like it was gonna come off with the plastic \(>o<)ノ This was the main tricky part for me during the process.

Once you managed to find the right corner/angle, you peel off the plastic, leaving the foil on your nail.

Repeat for rest of the nails and apply top coat. Here is another shot under artificial lighting.

Love this pattern and I think I should try it over a dark color for a contrasting look (^_^)

This has been a photo heavy and long post but shall end here with a real floral pic, hee
